Please note that BuyLankan operates solely as a platform provider, and individual vendors are responsible for fulfilling and managing their own orders, returns, and refunds.

1. Returns

Vendor Responsibility

For items purchased from independent vendors on BuyLankan, all return and refund requests must be directed to the respective vendor. BuyLankan does not manage or process returns or refunds on behalf of third-party vendors, unless the item was sold by the BuyLankan store directly.

Eligibility for Returns

Non-Perishable Items

Customers have the right to return non-perishable goods within 14 days of receiving the order, in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Please contact the vendor within this period to initiate a return.

Perishable Items

Perishable goods (such as fresh food or items with limited shelf life) are not eligible for return, unless they arrive faulty or damaged.

Conditions for Return

  • Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in the same condition as delivered.
  • A valid proof of purchase is required.
  • Vendors reserve the right to decline returns if these conditions are not met.

Return Process

  1. Contact the Vendor: Use the messaging or contact system provided on BuyLankan to get in touch with the vendor directly.
  2. Vendor Authorization: Upon vendor approval, return instructions will be provided.
  3. Shipping: Unless the product is faulty or damaged, the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. A trackable delivery method is recommended.

2. Refunds

Vendor-Handled Refunds

Refunds for vendor-sold products are processed and approved by the individual vendor. Vendors are responsible for:

  • Inspecting returned items
  • Determining refund eligibility
  • Processing refunds to the original payment method within 14 days of approval

3. Faulty or Damaged Items

5. Exceptions

The following items are generally non-returnable:

  • Customized or personalized products
  • Items not in original condition or missing parts due to customer handling

6. Platform Disclaimer

BuyLankan is a marketplace platform and does not bear responsibility for the return, exchange, or refund processes of individual vendors. Each vendor operates independently and is fully responsible for their own policies and customer service. BuyLankan will, however, intervene in the case of unresolved disputes to ensure compliance with our platform standards.
